Inspiration For Chic Office Outfits!

Here are some of my favorites to look at for Chic and fun inspiration!

Cleanliness at workplace!

Personal hygiene in the workplace is just as important as personal hygiene at home or anywhere else. Being clean is a big part of an individual in a workplace. Just as much as a person needs to pay attention to their clothes, behavior etc at workplace, they should also make sure that they are clean in their workplace. 

To stay clean one must do the following:

• shower daily/regularly
• Wash teeth daily/ chew gum or mints
• Avoid eating smelly food- or if you must, wash teeth afterwards.
• wash your hands regularly
• Wear deodorant
• Smell good- perfume.. not too strong though
• If exercising at work-plan ahead.. shower, take change of clothes, deodorant, etc
• Also, keep your desk area and other working place clean!

Remember “dress for success” doesn’t just require you to just put on a nice suit and show up at work! You must pay attention to everything else as well! 

Shopping Ideas!

When it comes to office-wear, It may be difficult to find just one store that has everything you may need. Here are some of the stores that I love shopping at for chic and yet affordable clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories for my office looks. These stores carry both stuff for both females and males! You can choose to go into a store of purchase stuff online. Most of these stores have very good exchange/return policies so if you order something online and don't like it you can easily exchange/return it through mail or in a store :)


Here are some quick tips:
-look at magazines, look-books for inspiration
-watch TV shoes/news about the latest fashions
-Try to buy timeless pieces that you can wear over and over again
-stick to solid colors, you will get more use out of them and can accessorize with different patterns, colors

ALL ABOUT SHOES!

When it comes to a business environment, it is strongly advised to keep shoes clean,shined,and attractive. In my opinion, the shoes can either make or break an outfit. So, good pair of shoes is a must! You want your work place shoes to be nice, yet comfortable.. so, if you want something comfortable, go for ballet flats or wedges .. they are always chic yet very comfortable. Other great options are low-healed pumps. you want a little bit of heel at times but too high looks unprofessional so keep that in mind.

Here are some quick tips:

• Choose a pair of shoes that has a neutral color that will coordinate with multiple outfits. 
• Wear shoes that coordinate with your suit, and that are clean and tidy
• For comfort, wear professional loafers, low heals, wedges or flats 
• Stay away from very high heels, open-toed shoes, sandals, flip flops, or sneakers
• When using stockings or pantyhose, make sure they match the color of the shoes you plan to wear.

Office Makeup

Office Makeup: 

Make up is a universal thing, something that all girls and women over the world can relate to. It is true that one can be very creative when it comes to makeup and create different amazing looks. However, when it comes to work place, that shouldn’t be the case because you want to look polished and professional. Always remember that less is more when it comes to makeup in a work place! You want your make up to look professional and well put together and not messy or seductive.  

My personal to go products for an office look are the following:

1. Face cream to start with, I use Olay 7 effects 

2. Face prime- smashbox’s photofinish foundation primer

3. Foundation that match skin tone for a flawless face (I use MAC’s studio finish fluid foundation or Dior’s airflash spray)

4. Concealer for those dark circles.. usually you can do up to 2 shades lighter ( I use Mac pro longwear concealer)

5. Powder to set everything into place (mac mineralize powder)

6. Bronzer, blush and highlighter for the cheek area (anastasia beverly hills contour kit for bronzer (contour) and highlight and NYX blush- light pinkinsh shades

7. For eyeshadows.. I highly recommend the naked eyeshadow palette by urban decay for natural looking eyes

8. Eyeliner (NYX eyeliner for inside and outside liner)

9. Mascara- benefit’s “they are real” 

10. Lastly, a light lipstick shade to finish the look (NYX, MAC brands)

Here are some tips:

-Wear something that is long lasting, so you don’t have keep retouching over and over again during the day

-Wear something that is easy and low-maintenance so you don’t waste a lot of time 

-Your make up should enhance your natural beauty and not turn you into a completely different person

-Wear make up that is not distracting but more in the natural side. You want people to pay attention to you and not be distracted by the heavy or colorful makeup that you are wearing

-Wear your make up the way it makes you feel comfortable and good about yourself.

Men's Fashion Advice...

• Dress a step up always! It is better to be over-dressed than under-dressed!
• Stay up to date with the latest styles and trends by reading about it online, magazines etc
• when Dressing up, don't focus just in one area, make sure you look presentable from head to toe.. meaning your hair is fixed and presentable all the way down to having a clean nice shoes!

The perfect work bag obviously depends on the individual taste, but here are some suggestions that may help with choosing the perfect bag for work.

I personally love clean cut handbags and totes for work, something that is Classy and timeless. If it is a handbag, I prefer that it also has a shoulder strap because at times it could be really annoying to carry it, especially if you need to carry work folders/paper work, your coffee haha and etc.

First Impressions

Here is a quick and informative video that may help you girls with dressing up for your interview. I know everyone has a different style when it comes to fashion and dressing up, so it may be difficult to pick out an outfit for an interview sometimes. 

A few things that are important during any interview are dressing well, being genuine and authentic, having a good handshake, good eye contact, going to the interview prepared that means researching about the company ahead of time, making sure you are listening to the interviewer fully before answering all the questions, and of course having a good resume that is free of typos and accurate. First impressions are everything! So, while deciding what to wear make sure you dress conservatively, in neutral colors and nothing too flashy. Remember, confidence is always in style!!
